Steve & Ruth Dick Bio
Born and raised in Reedley, California, on a farm, Steve Dick is the President and CEO of Inspiration Cruises & Tours. Ruth moved to Reedley in 1967, where she met Steve at Immanuel High School. They married in 1971––just 6 days before Steve began his 23-year career at the Fresno Bible House, where he quickly moved from janitorial and shipping to becoming manager, overseeing all operations and controller of the store. Steve and Ruth became the owners of Inspiration in 1994, and since then, have dedicated their lives to serving the ministry partners and faithful travelers all over the globe. In this time, they have expanded the company from 1,000 travelers annually to over 14,000 annually and now serve hundreds of ministry partners. Their daughter Stephanie Smith serves alongside them as well as their son-in-law Josh Smith who leads the marketing side of Inspiration projects. Steve & Ruth were active members of the Fresno Evangelical Free Church (now The Bridge) for over forty years, Steve served on the church board for twenty of those years. Currently, they attend Peoples Church with Josh & Stephanie. They enjoy traveling with and sitting under the teaching of some of the nations leading Pastors and Teachers whom they have the privilege of calling friends. Steve also serves on the board for Fresno Pacific University and the Fresno/Clovis Prayer Breakfast.
STEPHANIE SMITH –
Stephanie started her career in organizational team building and efficiency creation at Marriott and Fresno Pacific University before becoming the Executive Vice-President of Inspiration Cruises & Tours, where she’s led for over 17 years. She manages multiple teams to ensure Inspiration’s organizational effectiveness while also innovating to meet the needs of the future of the business. She is also the co-owner of a marketing and design firm with her husband, Josh, and an adjunct marketing professor at Fresno Pacific University.
JOSHUA SMITH –
Joshua has over two decades of creative and branding experience with Christian ministries—beginning with 10 years at Hume Lake Christian Camps, where he pioneered their entire creative department and oversaw the rebranding of their organization. For the last 15 years, he steered design and marketing as the Creative Vice-President for Inspiration Cruises & Tours and their ministry partners. He and Stephanie work as creative and marketing principals at Pillar Brands, their design and marketing agency that serves the needs of various faith-based ministries and organizations.
