Linda Duncan is our 2025 CBWC Woman of the Year and will be recognized at the December 16th Luncheon. We selected Linda for her lifelong commitment to service in faith as a wife, business owner, mother, daughter, and sister in Christ. Everywhere Linda has gone, she has expanded the Kingdom of God.
Brian and Patricia Waller have been partners in life and ministry since their marriage in 1985. For four decades, they have faithfully served the body of Christ through music, leading congregations in worship and devotion. They spent over 20 years at Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, California, ministering alongside renowned worship leader Ron Kenoly, and they now continue their calling at Breaking Free Revival Center in Fresno, California.
As they sing, Brian and Patricia believe in the transformative power of God to lift hearts, heal lives, and draw people closer to His presence. Together, they’ve raised two young adult children — Joel, who lives in Los Angeles, and Brianne, who resides in New York. Beyond ministry, they love to travel and explore new places. Most evenings, you’ll find them sharing laughter and friendly competition over a lively game of Rummikub — their favorite way to wind down and reconnect.
Nancy was initially inspired to put segments of Scripture to memory after hearing Karen Heimbuch recite the Book of Revelations from memory at a women’s retreat. After coming home and joining a small women’s group dedicated to memorization, she started working on the book of 1 John – she was shocked when it only took about 6 weeks for her to memorize the entire book! Since that time, Nancy has committed to memory several passages (including the books James, John, and 1 Corinthians, Ps. 119, and a smattering of other chapters throughout the Bible; sharing them in a variety of formats with audiences, churches, and many small groups.
Nancy enjoys her continued support and participation in groups such as CBWC; she is passionate about supporting and building relationships. Professionally she continues to enjoy her work as a Realtor, serving her clients especially in the 55+ age bracket (‘Aging in America’), and is founder of a non-profit foundation, Horizon Refuge. She and her kind husband, Steve, have been married 47 years; and enjoy the blessings of their children and 6 grandchildren.
Linda Duncan: Born in Los Angeles County in 1945, raised in West Covina, graduated West Covina High 1963. Moved to Fresno in 1968 with husband and son. Worked at Duncan Ceramics 1970, then co-owned “SECRETS” retail store 1982–1992 with Carole Sorensen. Longtime active member of Northwest Church (since 1977), serving on Women’s Ministry and Hospitality teams. Involved with Bulldog Foundations, Resiliency Center (RISE coach), CBMC Women’s Connection, and Bible Study Fellowship. Inspired by my late husband Bob Duncan’s example, I’ve always believed in giving back. For the last 2½ years I cared for my mother at home until she passed this October at 99½—precious time I’ll always treasure. Now eager to travel, see family, quilt again, read to first-graders, and stay involved in the community. I’ve had an incredibly blessed life. Through every joy and trial, God has been my rock. Everything is His. “My soul finds rest in God… He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.” (Psalm 62:1-2)
