Women Making a Community Impact

The CBWC Fresno mission is provide a network of opportunities where Christian Business Women can expand their impact in the marketplace and the community.

At this luncheon, hear how you can make a community impact from right where you are planted.

Also, Fresno State Football Head coach Jeff Tedford will be on hand as we auction off 4 Fresno State 2022/23 Home Game Football Tickets. We will have a raffle for a $50 Gas Card and a Door Prize for 2 Tickets to the next Monthly Event.

You will also hear a Community Connection, Tip or Testimonial by Tom and Barbara Sommers and our friend Pastor Jim Franklin from Cornerstone Church will make a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.

Gena Behrens

Gena Behrens has been with the Fresno State Athletics Bulldog Foundation for the last 6 years. Director of Club Red and Athletic Alumni Engagement, Former Softball athlete at Fresno State, President of the Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame, Adult Huddle Leader for Fresno State FCA, Married to John, 3 step kids and 7 grandkids.

Anastasia Nelson

Married to Ron “Pup” Nelson for 29 years, mother of three grown kids, former kindergarten teacher in Clovis Unified, and now serves as the director of women’s ministry for Central Cal Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Anastasia has the privilege of mentoring female coaches, coaches wives, and female athletes & teams at the high school and college level in Central California.

Laura Jones

Laura Jones is a Fresno native.  She attended Fresno schools and earned a BA degree from CSUF, with a specialty in design.  Her career path led her into interior design, and she has served in the industry both as a designer, and as a company sales and designer trainer. She loves color design and all things of beauty. Her goal is to help create environments that bring well-being to her clients both physically and spiritually. 

She calls herself Fresno’s ambassador! She loves Fresno and loves to welcome newcomers and share all great things about our city! The love was inspired by her family, who believe it is important to serve the city where God places you. She served with bulldog women association, Billy Graham crusades, and most recently as the prayer coordinator for the Louise Palau city event. She serves as a prayer minister at Clovis Hills church and is believing for the transformation of our valley for Christ. 

Laura is married to Greg. They have four children and enjoy 9 grandchildren, who were all the loves of her life only surpassed by Jesus!

Tiffany Apodaca

Tiffany Apodaca is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer for Breaking the Chains that her and her business partner Debra Rush started in 2014. She has been married to Tony Apodaca for 21 years and has 6 beautiful daughters and 9 grandchildren. She has a bachelor’s in Psychology and a Masters in Christian Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She has been able to use her childhood trauma that she was able to overcome with the power and strength of God to help women and children find their path from hurt and hopelessness to become a thriver and change the projection of their life to one of empowerment and success with hope.  At the age of 19, Tiffany found herself at a crossroads between the life of addiction and a continued cycle of generational dysfunction or working hard to create a life for her and her two young daughters. Tiffany as a single mom got her GED at 19, and went on to Fresno City College for an AS degree all while holding a full-time job. She worked in the medical field for 5 years before returning to bartending and banquets. Tiffany was employed with Torino’s Banquets for 21 years in many positions before ultimately becoming the catering manager in 2005. In 2008 Tiffany gave her life to the Lord and has been serving God in many different capacities throughout the years by being the church secretary, leading women’s bible studies, leading outreach ministries, and sitting on numerous boards, and committees.
